This year for Caleb's birthday we went to the BYU vs New Mexico basketball game, thanks to Wes and Becky for the tickets. Then we had dinner at Becky's parents' house in Provo rather than driving all the way home first. It was fun to get together with some family and celebrate, and much less stressful than planning a friend party. Keith did most of the shopping for Caleb's presents, and he did a great job. In the picture above Caleb is holding his first model airplane, a Thunderbird. Caleb's favorite present was the Amazing Crafts book you can kind of see on the table near Alyssa. It has pages that Caleb cuts out and glues together to make various items. He has made a bulldozer, a robot, finger puppets you can use to play soccer, and many more I cannot remember. Caleb also got some money from his grandparents and an aunt. Today I took him to the toy store to look. He bought a LEGO movie called The Adventures of Clutch Powers, a small LEGO Technic bulldozer set, and a Matchbox book with audio CD. He even gave Parker one of his dollars, so Parker bought a mystery Hot Wheels car. Initially Caleb had chosen two LEGO sets, but wanted the movie as soon as he saw it. He just asked which LEGO set he would have to put back. Both boys loved watching the LEGO movie.
