Yesterday Caleb was talking about dying. He said that if I died he could have my LEGO set, and did not seem sad at the thought of losing me. He gave me a Star Wars LEGO set for my birthday that he really likes, and would probably like to have it for himself.
Speaking of missing me, he starts school in three weeks. I think he will do very well in Kindergarten, and will not miss me. He is pretty independent and is not shy or afraid of trying new things. Parker will probably be quite lonely without Caleb to play with. Although they fight sometimes they are good friends.
Caleb has been reading some lately. Jennifer gave me some books to help kids learn to read and he has read the first six or seven. We have also worked on a few other words, too. It is exciting to know that a whole new world is opening up to him as he learns to read.
