Why I love being a mother

I wrote this a year or two ago, and recently rediscovered it on my computer. I thought I would share. Sometimes it is hard to remember the joys when frustration is all I am feeling.

Why I Love Being a Mother

The patter of feet as they race around the table
The rising and falling of a baby's chest as he sleeps
The smell of a newborn
The feel of a baby kicking inside of me
The first cry as he enters the world
The tiny hands holding mine
The irresistible way he says "please"
The little arms around my neck
The joy he sees in a pile of blankets

Love it! The pitter patter of feet is one of my favorites, too. It only gets better, too. Blue and gold banquet tonight, gotta run
