December Fun!

We went to visit Keith's parents and Grandpa Jones the weekend before Christmas. We had a great time. They had snow on the ground, which is very rare for Southern Utah. At church I overheard a couple of ladies talking about the snow, one lady said she used a squeegee to get it off her driveway. We got to have dinner with Zack and his family which was so fun to get to see them and their house.

Caleb liked to play Checkers with Grandpa, and was sure to tell Grandpa that he was supposed to win.

Caleb's Joy School (preschool) went to a care center a couple of weeks before Christmas to sing and give snowflakes to the residents.
This is the bike Caleb bought a few months ago with most of his own money. He found it at DI for $5 dollars, and Caleb had $4.30. Mom and Dad helped pay for the rest. He will tell you he got it for a really good price. He likes riding it in the garage, but is looking forward to warmer weather so he can ride it outside again.

The day before Christmas the Armstrongs brought presents and stockings for our family. They said that Santa came early to their house and left some presents for us. We hid the stockings until Christmas from the kids. The stockings were full of candy and we got some Rocky and Bullwinkle movies. Caleb thought it was fun that Santa brought new stockings instead of using the stockings we had hanging in our house. Thank you Armstrongs!

Santa found us this year at home in Kearns. We had a white Christmas and enjoyed spending the day at home. We opened presents first and then had Aebelskievers for a late breakfast. Aunt Perky came over to visit for a few hours in the afternoon. She was even building with the Legos Caleb got for Christmas. Then our friends the Armstrongs came and had dinner with us. It was a very relaxing and wonderful Christmas.

Our boys had a great time opening presents, and we enjoyed watching them having fun. We are grateful for the Christmas season and the time it gives to reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ. We love him very much and are grateful for what he has done for us.
