Spencer's First Birthday!

Spencer celebrated his first birthday with his family and Grandma and Grandpa Scholl. He has been sick this week, so we did not have cake or ice cream for him.  He loves ice cream, so we will probably let him have some tomorrow night instead of cake.

He has some cute faces!

Here are a few facts about Spencer:

• He has six teeth (two on the bottom and four on top).
• He likes his binky, and often finds it during the night and pops it back in. 
  
• He says mama, dada, uh oh, nana (for banana and night night), baba (brother)
• He is an expert at climbing stairs
• He likes to sleep in his crib with his lower body wrapped in a blanket his Aunt Glena made.  He takes two good naps during the day, sometimes for 4-5 hours total.  
• He puts every little thing he can find in his mouth, but especially likes to chew on small pieces of gravel.  
• He is social, and likes to be in the same room as everyone else. 
  
• He enjoys swinging outside.  
  
• He is cruising around, pushing his bike, but has not started trying to walk on his own yet. 
• For a long time he crawled on his tummy, but has learned to get up on his knees.  
• He nursed for the last time the day before his birthday.
• His siblings all love him, and watch out for him.
• His favorite sounds are Keith sneezing and blowing his nose.  He thinks it is so funny! 
• He likes to mimic sounds people make.  
• He clicks his tongue when he wants a drink or his binky. 

Alyssa gave Spencer some tub toys.

Caleb gave him an airplane.  

Parker gave him some blocks.
