2nd Grade

Here is Caleb with Mrs. Roberts (English teacher), Mrs. Koji (principal), and Madame Boud (French teacher) after his second grade program.  They sang about eleven songs they have learned this year in school, from songs about the months of the year to "We will Rock you" with words about how different rocks are formed.  Caleb liked recess, especially when he got to play with his best friend Jacob.  They like to shoot the ball, and throw or kick the ball to each other.  We think Jacob is moving this summer, so Caleb will really miss him next year.  Caleb has been a great student this year.  He has continued reading chapter books, and would read two or three each week.  He enjoyed more Magic Tree House, Goosebumps, and Box Car Children books this year.  He saved his AR points all year to buy a light up Frisbee, four color pen, and fast food eraser.  His math skills are excellent, and his French comprehension is fabulous.  I am always amazed when I go to meet with his teachers to hear Madame Boud speak very quickly to Caleb in French, and he understands every word while I sit there clueless.
