Family Campout in June

We decided to go camping this week.  Keith had the pager over the last weekend, and got 41 hours of work in for the week by Wednesday morning at 10 am.  So he didn't even get to use any of his vacation time for our camp out.  We headed out Wednesday afternoon up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Tanner's Flat campground and came home Friday after breakfast.
Caleb and Parker helped Keith pitch the tent, so they could pass of some cub scout requirements.  The kids had a great time playing outside, making a hideout, hiking around camp, spotting wildlife (snake, lizards, chipmunks, birds, deer, roly polies, ants), chasing each other, playing catch with a football, squirting each other with squirt guns, and playing in the dirt.  Caleb and Parker helped to plan our menu and did some of the cooking.  Grandpa Scholl joined us for Wednesday night, and we enjoyed his company.  Alyssa and Spencer got a ride on the campground manager's golf cart.
Alyssa seemed very comfortable and happy outdoors

The hammock looks like loads of fun.

Great job going camping as a family.
