Geocaching

Our family has gone geocaching a couple of times. The first time the kids loved it because we found a couple of larger geocaches. The first one had toy cars inside, so they got to exchange a car. The second had pencil erasers in it. The day after we went Caleb made a comment about the word cache. He said that it was French for hide. So we looked it up (my mother must be so proud) and it is indeed.

Our second geocaching trip was not quite as exciting for the kids, as the two we found were microcaches, with only a piece of paper to write our names. It is just amazing how these things are hidden around us, and we never would have known it.
